It’s Tom and Camilla
Forget the fact that it was 2 in the morning, I was determined to see the final of Strictly Come Dancing on BBC iPlayer the minute I got home. The bar we went to had the results show on so I turned around so it wouldn’t spoil the surprise of who won and how.
But it wasn’t a total surprise. At the start of this finals show, it was truly impossible to figure out who will win although it was very clear that the public was very much behind Tom Chambers. During the night’s competition, Lisa Snowdon got a perfect score for each of her dance — ballroom and latin — which I don’t really get what was brilliant about her cha-cha. I was pleased that they were eliminated. As for their showdance… eh… didn’t work for me.
Tom and Camilla’s showdance, however, was brilliant and I believe this gave them the winner. Rachel and Vincent’s was good too but it didn’t have the pizzazz of Tom and Camilla’s.
Was the win fair? A lot of people don’t think so. In my opinion, it was fair if you only consider what had happened during last night’s show. But counting in the pulava of last week then it does make you think that Tom should not have been on tonight’s show anyway.
Oh well, it is done now. Congratulations to the winners! To Rachel and Vincent, you are still my favourites.
